App Privacy

This page is a plain-language summary of TonalPath’s privacy behavior. For the complete policy, read the Privacy Policy.

Microphone

Microphone access is optional and is used for practice input when the user chooses to answer by singing or playing into the microphone. Audio analysis is performed on the device. TonalPath does not store raw microphone audio and does not send raw microphone audio or pitch-detection audio to TonalPath servers.

MIDI

MIDI input is optional where available. MIDI input is used to evaluate practice answers. TonalPath does not store MIDI input and does not send MIDI input to TonalPath servers.

Progress and Settings

The iOS app does not require a TonalPath account. Course progress, scores, and app settings are stored locally on the device and are not sent to TonalPath servers.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Apple processes payment information. TonalPath does not receive or store payment-card details.

Tracking and Advertising

TonalPath does not use third-party advertising tracking and does not sell or rent personal information.

Retention and Your Choices

Practice progress and settings remain on the device until they are reset or the app is deleted. The iOS app currently has no TonalPath account to delete. Questions concerning information sent directly to support may be emailed to privacy@tonalpath.com.
